Ranking Australia Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") apply to all services provided by Ranking Australia (ABN: 76 669 297 545). By engaging our services you have acknowledged and confirmed your acceptance of these terms and any subsequent updates.

Section 1: Scope of Services

These terms cover the following services when relevant subscription services or projects where applicable:

  • Strategic SEO Services (including copywriting services, metadata updates, SEO support, basic technical implementation for third party platforms i.e. Code implementation and tracking for conversions via the website, and basic website copy maintenance updates)
  • DataSense Customised Insights (managed data dashboards using data access points provided)
  • Advisory Services (phone meetings, online and offline meetings, email advisory and recommendations provided)
  • Google Ads Services (setup, management, and auditing services)
  • Google Business Profile Services (recovery, management, setup and auditing services)
  • Third-Party Provider Services (e.g., Oncord, Conetix, CKP Creative). Please see relevant provider website(s) for additional terms and conditions that apply.

These terms are updated regularly. Please retain a copy and save the URL to stay up to date.

Onboarding and Access

For efficiency, once approved, please provide access to: your website platform (for example Shopify), hosting, DNS registrar, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile (manager role), Meta Business Suite, TikTok or YouTube channel (as selected), image libraries, brand guidelines, and any booking or business-management integrations that affect tracking.

Workflow and Approvals
  • Content plan issued in the first week of each month.
  • Client approvals within three business days to maintain cadence.
  • One round of revisions per asset is included. Additional rounds are billed at standard rates.
Project Parameters
  • Paid ad spend is not included.
  • Ads management includes one campaign creation and management. Ranking Australia can manage up to one existing campaign. Additional campaigns can be added at an additional cost.
  • New photography or studio video production is outside of scope. On-site shoots can be quoted.
  • Major website redesign, new brand identity, or new booking system integrations are outside of scope unless specified in writing.
  • After-hours or urgent turnarounds may attract priority rates, only on lower plans and outside of scope work requested.
  • Third-party subscriptions are billed separately where required.
On Time Payments
  • Payments made on time or before the due date are crucial. Non-payment or late payments may result in interruptions or delays to delivery.
  • GoCardless is used as our preferred payment method.
What to Expect in the First 90 Days
  • Access, tracking audit, and technical fixes identified from the initial audit and review, as they apply to marketing priorities identified in the initial meeting, unless otherwise directed by outcomes identified in strategic meetings.
  • SEO optimisation of key pages, products, posts, tags, and categories, as they apply to marketing priorities identified in the initial meeting, unless otherwise directed by outcomes identified in strategic meetings.
  • Initial keyword research and opportunities, including key phrases and local SEO content planning for each strategic focus area, as identified in the initial meeting, unless otherwise directed by outcomes identified in strategic meetings.
  • Content calendar for content creation, including posts, socials, and Google Business Profile updates.
  • Initial content creation, which may include landing page copy, blog, social posts, initial targeted landing pages, backlink foundation, Google Business Profile posting cadence, and short-form cadence stabilisation, as per the selected scope.
  • Expanded content and evaluation of keyword movement and Maps visibility, as per the selected scope.
Outside of Scope and Additional Services

Services provided by Ranking Australia are limited to the Scope of Services and deliverables outlined in the approved Service Agreement, proposal, or selected subscription tier.

If additional services are required, whether identified by our team or requested by you, these services are considered outside of scope activities. Outside of scope services may be added on a monthly basis depending on identified needs. Additional quotes will be provided upon request. Work on additional services will only commence once the relevant invoice has been paid.

Outside of scope services are quoted as fixed-price deliverables, based on the nature, complexity, and value of the requested outcomes. Quotes are provided in writing prior to commencement. With mutual written agreement, existing deliverables may be exchanged for alternative services of equivalent value. Equivalence is assessed reasonably by Ranking Australia, based on previously agreed pricing or comparable project valuations.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Additional web design and development tasks not listed in the agreed scope.
  • Publishing products.
  • Google Merchant Centre management.
  • Landing page development for specific campaigns or promotions.
  • E-commerce functionality setup or upgrades.
  • Additional campaign creation and management, including Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Additional social media content creation and management.
  • Email marketing campaigns, automations, or newsletter setup and implementation.
  • Video production for brand channels, marketing campaigns, advertising, or social media.
  • Additional blogs beyond the agreed monthly allocation.
  • Optimisation of more than the specified number of pages or products per month.
  • Crisis management, urgent technical fixes, or out-of-hours support requests.
  • Third-party integration setup, including CRM systems, booking platforms, and payment gateways.

Section 2: Definitions

  • SEO Implementation: Publishing metadata, content edits, and technical schema markup to optimise your website. Can include Google Business post updates when mentioned in the scope of deliverables.
  • Basic SEO Maintenance: Updates to metadata, content, and Google tools (for example Analytics and Search Console).
  • Google Ads Management: Management and optimisation of your ad campaigns within your Google Ads account, which can include creation of new ads and campaigns as per scope of deliverables.
  • Google Business Profile Services: Can include profile setup, verification services, listing recovery services, lodging support requests, and appeals on behalf of the business owner, management of updates, and auditing to increase relevance to your brand, products, and services.
  • Third-Party Providers: External services not directly provided by Ranking Australia but integrated as part of service delivery (for example web hosting, plugins, software).
  • We, Us, Our: Refers to Ranking Australia and its representatives, including Director Katrina Puranik.
  • Client, You, Your: The person or entity receiving services from Ranking Australia.

Section 3: Payment & Billing

  1. Service Fees:
    • Payment is required upfront for once-off services and project-based services.
    • Subscription based services are billed monthly in advance, before services commence.
    • Services will not begin until payment is confirmed.
    • For recurring services, payments are automatically processed based on your billing cycle.
    • No refunds will be provided once work has commenced, as resources are allocated upon payment. See Section 5 for more details.
  2. Additional Services:
    • Services beyond the agreed scope will be invoiced separately.
    • Additional work will only commence once the relevant invoice has been paid, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  3. Failed Payments:
    • In the event of unsuccessful payment attempts, services may be suspended until payment is received.
  4. Invoices and GST:
    • All invoices and receipts are sent via email.
    • GST-inclusive rates apply as per Australian taxation laws, unless otherwise stated in writing.

Section 4: Service Conditions

  1. Response Times:
    • Support is provided during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM AEST).
    • Urgent requests must be marked as urgent in email correspondence. Reasonable response time applies, up to 48 hours.
    • Unless your scope includes premium support (after hours), you will be assigned a support ticket and placed in queue.
  2. Website Access:
    • For security reasons, clients do not receive cPanel or FTP access unless agreed upon in writing.
    • If administrative access is granted to clients, Ranking Australia is not liable for downtime, errors, data loss, or security breaches resulting from client or third-party modifications.
  3. Third-Party Tools:
    • Ranking Australia may recommend or install third-party tools.
    • Clients are responsible for ongoing payments to third-party providers.
    • If we assist with integrating or updating third-party tools, additional charges may apply and will be quoted prior to commencement.
  4. Prohibited Use:
    • Services, websites, and tools provided by Ranking Australia must not be used for illegal activities.
    • If evidence of illegal activity is discovered, services may be terminated immediately and Ranking Australia may be obligated to report the matter to relevant authorities.

Section 5: Cancellation, Upgrades & Refunds

  1. Cancellation:
    • Services can be cancelled with written notice, being 7 days for weekly billing cycles and 30 days for monthly billing cycles, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
    • Cancellations must be emailed to info@rankingaustralia.com.au.
    • When services are cancelled, all works and current services cease when the cancellation takes effect. No refunds apply for the current billing period. Cancelling a subscription forfeits any remaining service quota and benefits.
  2. Upgrades and Downgrades:
    • Changes to service levels take effect on the next billing cycle, unless otherwise specified and confirmed in writing via email.
    • Clients must notify Ranking Australia in writing of any changes to scope, add-ons, or removals.
  3. Refunds:
    • Payments are non-refundable once work has commenced, except where required under Australian Consumer Law. Refunds may apply only where the agreed scope has not been delivered within the current billing period and remedies under law apply.
  4. Service Pauses:
    • Pausing a subscription forfeits any remaining service quota and benefits for the period that the funds apply.

Section 6: Liability & Disclaimers

  1. Limited Liability:
    • To the extent permitted by law, Ranking Australia is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit or business.
    • Maximum liability is limited to the total amount paid for services or the cost of re-supplying the affected service.
  2. Service Interruptions:
    • Ranking Australia is not responsible for service interruptions caused by third-party providers (for example hosting outages).
    • We are not liable for disruptions resulting from client actions, including administrative changes made by the client or third parties.
  3. Performance:
    • We do not guarantee specific outcomes (for example first-page rankings on Google).
  4. Consumer Guarantees:
    • Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Section 7: Governing Laws & Dispute Resolution

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

Section 8: Revisions to Terms

Ranking Australia reserves the right to update these terms. Clients will be notified of changes via email, and updated terms will apply from the date specified in the notice.

Section 9: Declaration & Acknowledgement

By signing the Service Agreement or subscribing to services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
